On March 23rd, 2010, the Al-Falluja Islamic Forum, a prominent jihadist forum, released a message written by one of its members, az-Zubeir al-Muhajer, in which he details the migration-to-jihad journey of Jibreel al-Chadi (a.k.a. Shaykh Jibreel al-Muhajer). According to the statement, Shaykh Jibreel had traveled to numerous destinations to wage jihad, including Sudan, Afghanistan, Pakistan, and Somalia. Additionally, the statement details the relationship Shaykh Jibreel had with two other fighters: Aamer al-Sudani—who was killed in Afghanistan and appeared in the as-Sahab video “Winds of Paradise”—and az-Zubeir as-Sudani—who appeared in the video recording “Martyrs of Eid.” Accordingly, after 9/11 and the beginning of the Afghanistan war, Shaykh Jibreel travelled from Sudan to Afghanistan and fought there for numerous months. He was imprisoned for two years in Sudan, and finally died while fighting in Somalia.
