On May 9, 2010, Arab mujahideen fighters in Waziristan posted a communiqué regarding the death of a close colleague, Yemeni national Mohammed al-Hamli (a.k.a. Abu Dujanah al-Sanaani). Al-Hamli – a bombmaker who was allegedly preparing himself for a suicide mission – was reportedly killed when the explosive device that he was building blew up in his face.
